Warren Gatland left his role as head coach of Wales, with immediate effect.
Gatland, 61, had a successful first passage as a WRU coach between 2007 and 2019, winning four six-nations titles, including three grandems and going to the World Cup semi-final in 2011 .
The New Zealander resumed the role in 2022, but only succeeded in six victories of 26 outings.
The pressure rose to Gatland while Wales continues to suffer from its longest sequence that lost – now up to 14.

Gatland has now left his role as head coach of Wales after being concluded in a mutual agreement with the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU), announced on Tuesday, February 11.

Gatland’s departure arrives halfway through the 2025 Guinness Six Nations tournament with three games still to play – against Ireland, Scotland and England.
