Lucas Paqueta underwent a fresh ankle injury when training West Ham.
We do not know how serious the injury is but Standard sport Understanding Paqueta seemed devastated while he retired early from a session in the Green Rush training field from the club on Tuesday.
Paqueta will now be evaluated by the club’s medical staff.
The Brazilian had started to return to his best during the first weeks of Graham Potter’s mandate, and another spell on the sidelines would be a major blow for the new manager.
Paqueta played a key role for West Ham this season, and the weekend returned at a minor to play the 90 full minutes during the 1-0 Saturday defeat at home against London Rivals Brentford.
Carlos Soler is most likely to deputate, as he did previously this season, if the Package ankle injury was serious.
The Hammers visit Arsenal at the Emirates in the Premier League on Saturday. Potter will be addressed to the media on Thursday.
Paqueta joined West Ham from Lyon for more than 50 million pounds sterling in 2020. He scored 18 goals in 110 games for the Hammers.
