Liv Golf extended his agreement with Adélaide until 2031 on Sunday, the new director general Scott O’Neil calling for the Australian tournament “the incarnation” of everything that the League supported by Saoudie represents.
The Golf Grange route in Adelaide is currently organizing its third edition of LIV, with more than 100,000 fans expected through the doors during the three days.
“This event is the embodiment of what Liv Golf represents: the biggest stars, the best courses, unrivaled experiences and, of course, the best fans in the world,” said O’Neil.
“Liv Golf Adelaide is our showcase and gives life to the vision of all our events around the world.”
Adelaide has been named the best golf event in the world to World Golf Awards in the past two years.
As part of a new agreement with the government of the State of South Australia, the golf course in downtown North Adelaide will be refurbished so that it can accommodate LIV tournaments.
The design will be directed by Greg Norman in Australia, which played a decisive role in the creation of Liv Golf but was replaced by O’Neil last month.
“I dream of building a world golf league for 30 years,” said Norman, a polarizing figure in the Rift between the PGA Tour established and the Liv golf, which belongs to the Saudi public investment fund.
“Liv Golf Adelaide is the realization of what Liv Golf can be in the world.
“I am honored to design a world class class that will benefit current and future generations here in Australia,” he added.
The campaign of the tour in 2025 of the Liv Tour tour was extinguished last week in Riyadh and moved to Hong Kong after Adelaide.
