Henry Arundell will return to English rugby next season after Bath has entered into an agreement to bring the starlet to the Première rugby.
Arundell, 22, has spent the last two seasons in race 92 in the Top 14 after the collapse of London Irish before the 2023 World Cup.
The young person showed his talent with a performance of five stays against Chile during this tournament, but has since been unacceptable to the selection to the Steve Barthwick team while exercising his business abroad.
However, his return returns to him available as soon as the summer tour in the United States and Argentina with Arundell signing a three-year contract before the 2025-26 season to join the team of Johann Van Graan.
This is the latest catching piece of activity for Ambitious Bath, the favorites to win the English title this season, after recruiting the star of Argentina Santiago Carreras de Gloucester earlier this week.
Product of the London Irish Academy after completing his studies in Harrow, Arundell grew up in Bath and is delighted to go home.
“Joining Bath will be a very special opportunity for me and my family,” said Arundell. “We have been fans of Bath for generations – from my grandparents – and growing up, I spent many years in the stands to support the team.
“Now, potentially, having the opportunity to wear a bath rugby shirt is incredibly exciting. The team is in a fantastic place at the moment, with a brilliant culture, and I am convinced that we can create incredible memories in the coming years. »»
Bath also added Exeter Hooker Dan Frost and South African Scrum Half Bernard Van Der Linde to their team for next season.
Arundell’s departure from race 92 is a limited surprise with the club considering their options after being provided with former English coach Stuart Lancaster last week.
Lancaster has never completely frightened with the French team and rugby and will look for a new challenge after a start in mid-season, Patrice Collazo is installed as an interim head coach. Owen Farrell is halfway through the first two-year agreement after joining the Saracens at the start of the campaign.
