Publication of the main national golf club Golfer Rate Syloth on Solway Golf Club 23rd in the country.
The Cumbrian Club has obtained the high classification in the list of the 100 best English courses in NCG.
The course of links is described as “one of the most remote golf outposts in the country but also among its best courses”.
SILLOTH appears on an illustrious list which includes many open and European tour courses, with the best England of Royal St George, followed by Sunningdale, Royal Birkdale and Royal Lytham & St Anne’s.
SILLOTH is one of the two CUMBRIEN COURS to do the top 100, with Seascale classified 80th.
NCG classified the courses after visits between March and October of last year, with its panelists marking them in a certain number of categories: architecture and design, conditioning / presentation / green, environment, challenge and playability and “memorability”.
The publication indicates that the trip to Siloth can be long for many, but “each last mile was worth it”.
They also highlight the price of the game during the course, writing: “With a golf day costing as little as £ 50, it is difficult to imagine anywhere else in Great Britain offering more for less money. “”
The judges have described Smshols as “totally unpretentious” and “one of the delicious and rare groups of clubs where the inhabitants seem to not achieve how a wonderful course is their privilege to attack on a weekly basis or even daily. “
They say that the course is “hard but manageable, provided that you play within your limits”, while it is also delivered with “fabulous” views and “daring, natural” architectural characteristics.

SILLOTH is also 57th in total in Great Britain and Ireland. Its recognition by NCG is the last distinction for the club, which has recently been appointed the course of best value in Great Britain and Ireland by today’s Golfer.

Seascale, meanwhile, is congratulated for his “entertaining and distinctive holes from the 3rd”, the Cumbrian course of the West was “a traditional link maintained to the highest standards”.
