Manchester United hired the world -renowned athletics coach Harry Marra, as a consultant, helps club players.

The 78 -year -old man worked at the club’s carrington training base to help the team adapt to the tactics of manager Ruben Amorim.

Marra is considered a global speed expert and endurance in athletics, after having trained the double Olympic champion of Decathlon Ashton Eaton, who broke the world record twice in the event, and the Olympic medalist of heptathlon, Brianne Theisen.

The techniques of the Americans would focus on scientific principles behind the mechanics of the movement of an athlete.

Amorim tactics require a high intensity commitment to the team and Marra, working with Sam Erith, director of UNITED acting performance, should lend a helping off for what sports reports are a few weeks.

Speaking of his tactics during the first stages of his mandate, Amorim said: “It is impossible to win the Premier League without a team that does not work,” continued Amorim.

“You can do a starting program with the best players on the planet, without running, they will not win either. We have to run like crazy dogs, otherwise we will not win.

“The problem is they can face it? If they are used to it during training, they will do it in the games.

“They can improve. You cannot be faster, but you can run more training. They are professional athletes. Each coach has a different pressing method.”
