Rio Ferdinand revealed that Manchester United’s “problem” in the middle of fears on relegation.
A team of man exhausted – missing 12 senior players – including Amad, Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte – collapsed on Sunday with a 1-0 defeat against Tottenham.
It was an eighth defeat in 12 Premier League games for the Red Devils and the Ruben Amorim team slipped in the 15th row after starting the weekend in 13th.
However, Man UTD remains 12 points from the relegation area with 13 games to play. Four of which are against the sides below them in the table.
While the idea of a club the size of Man United fighting for survival is apparently unthinkable and, in truth, very unlikely, Ferdinand says that he begins to fear the worst after having crossed the remaining devices of his old club.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ferdinand fears that he cannot predict more than one victory: “Manchester United has absolutely difficulties at the moment. Only Wolves and West Ham separate my club from relegation. that we are that we close?
“Someone said we needed 11 points just to stand up and I’m starting to think like that. I have the list of matches here and I’m watching the game and I’m serious here. Go through it.
“Everton Away, Ipswich at Home, Arsenal, Forest Away, Man City, Newcastle Away, Wolves, Brentford, West Ham, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Leicester.
“The only place where I potentially see us getting anything – and I don’t even say a victory – is Leicester. We have already slapped Leicester this season, so we have their number.
“Normally, you look at the list of devices and you can see where the points come from.
“We just watched the list of matches and I don’t see pure and simple victories, I don’t look at him thinking there are three points here and there are three points there. This is the problem . “
