“Credit to Sri Lanka. They deserved the victory of the series. We had a little trouble in Colombo … Their lovers were superb.”

Asitha Fernando set the tone with an ardent opening spell of 3-23 in four overs before the spinners tighten the screws.

Wellalage triggered the collapse, Bamboozling Josh Inglis with a ball of relaxed arm that crashed into the strains. In his neighbor, he delivered another fishing, shaking the dangerous of Glenn Maxwell wood to finish 4-35.

Wanundu Rangeinga joined the party from the other end to take three others, including Smith, who was trapped Plumb at the front.

The Sri Lanka striker had been under the microscope in recent weeks, but the first order has silenced criticism with a dominant screen.

Kusal Mendis was the star of the series, making a superb 101 – his fifth ton in Odi and first against Australia.

He found a great support from half-century from Nishan Madushka (51) and Asalanka.

Freshly released from a hundred games in the first game, Asalancing 78 undefeated on only 66 bullets, swiveling the border with six four and three and six.

The foundation was laid by a 98 -point partnership between Kusal and Madushka for the second counter, stabilizing the sleeves after early defeat.
