Steve Barthwick supported Marcus Smith to bounce back from a difficult day of the TEE against France after revealing that the back of England will keep stoves for the six nations against Scotland.
The Harlequins playmaker missed a penalty and a conversion in the second half of the second match of the round, and had the TEE removed while Fly fine Smith has assumed functions.
The 22 -year -old then hit two conversions to help England to a long -awaited victory as part of a first departure composed at the international level.

The pair is part of an unchanged back line with Barthwick again eager for continuity in a selection which shows only one alteration.
England is delighted with the possibilities of attack that the pair can provide while they seek to continue the evolution of their offensive game plan.
End Smith thinks that he and his namesake can make the most of each other.
“There was no conversation between me and Marcus,” said Northampton 10 of the kicking decision against France. “It was funny to see the reaction to him of the media and fans.
