A golf club has announced a new investment to improve the quality and sustainability of its career.
Harewood Downs Golf Club, in Chalfont St Giles, confirmed that he had improved his greenkeing fleet with the purchase of five Bigmow Belrobotics mower.
The Mower will support the current Greenkeeping team in maintaining the state of the course throughout the year.
We hope that the autonomous machines will become a “banal show” for the members of the club, which dates back to 1907.
The club stresses that automated mowers are not intended to replace human greenkeepers.
Instead, the work carried out by mowers in the Fairways Cup will free up staff to focus on more qualified tasks that cannot be carried out by machines.
The mowers are also supposed to represent an important step towards the objectives of sustainability of the club, with reduced emissions and requests for fuel compared to traditional models.
Matt Mayfield, managing director of the Harewood Downs Golf Club, said: “It is a big investment for us and a large number of which we are very happy to see the advantages.
“In addition to keeping the fairways at a perfect length to maximize the gameplay, having these robotic mowers will allow us to put the dedication and the talent of our greenkeepers to use better in other areas of the course.
“We are sure that our members will get used to our new arrivals who go up and descend the fairways.”
The club has a rich story, with notable players such as Justin Rose and the winner of the championship open six times, Harry Vardon, having honored his course in the last 117 years.
The club is located in the Buckinghashire campaign with its 18-hole course, its clubhouse and its training facilities all year round.
It is aimed at a range of occasional golf activities with competition tournaments, and even social events and family functions.
The club belongs to its members, for the benefit of its members, and is easily accessible from London.
Harewood Downs Golf Club wants to stay at the forefront of technological and environmental progress in the golf world.
Recent investments bear witness to this commitment, and the club is impatiently awaiting the advantages that these changes will bring.
The club’s proactive approach to improve the quality and sustainability of its course is aligned with its vision of offering an unrivaled golf experience for its members and guests, while contributing positively to the environment.
The club continues to welcome new members who share their passion for games and respect for the environment.
